Patrick is believed to be the most successful ski travel author of all time, with his first book, ‘The Essential Ski Holiday Guide’ published by Collins when he was just 21 years old in 1985 and his latest, Powder, a heavy weight celebration of the world’s 50 greatest ski runs, which received consistent five star reviews and is widely regarded as one of the best ski books ever written, published in English, French, German, Spanish and Swedish editions by publishers including National Geographic.
In between Patrick has written or contributed to over a dozen other titles, including three guide books for the Swiss publisher Berlitz and two editions of The World Ski and Snowboard Guide, an industry directory of over 2000 ski resorts worldwide published in the mid-1990s by Columbus which opened many people’s eyes to just how many ski resorts are out there. This book now changes hands for large sums on Amazon.
His other titles include several editions of Powder Retreats, a luxury guide book to some of the world’s best five star ski hotels and chalets.
